YOUR ROLE

Our award-winning International Showfreight team based at the NEC Birmingham have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Domestic Operations to join their fascinating and unique operational team.
This amazing opportunity calls for a strong leader who has exceptional commercial and operational experience where you will implement effective operational strategies to meet client requirements and deliver seamless exhibitions and events.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Regional Domestic Operations Director you will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of client portfolios, providing regular reviews and reports to senior management focusing on client performance, forecasting and initial budgets spend, ensuring budget alignment, mitigating possible risks and identifying cost save initiatives. You will maintain an excellent working relationship with internal contract management teams, ensuring client issues are resolved, constantly reviewing client performance where you will ensure contract targets are achieved. You will be the key contact for new and existing organisers and clients, maintaining customer satisfaction and embedding effective communication plans where you will present business proposals, driving contract development and renewal conversations.
You will lead a diverse team embedding a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and engagement, identifying opportunities for training and development, empowering individuals to meet operational and individual goals and team objectives. You will be an advocate for health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring teams maintain and operate safely at live events and exhibitions addressing issues and implementing corrective actions.
