WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Knowledge and experience of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO)
  • Understanding of the retrofit industry and the processes involved in the installation of insulation, heating and renewables into domestic properties
  • Strong operational and partner management skills
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent reporting/presenting ability.
  • Exceptional leadership/mentoring skills
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L management skills.
  • Knowledge of other grant-funded retrofit and energy efficiency programmes focussing on domestic households.
  • Experience of designing and delivering large scale consumer programmes
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Agility Eco are recruiting for a Head of ECO to join the team. This role can be based on from our Sutton or Aylesbury office on a hybrid basis, or remote with travel to the office when needed.
In order to manage our ECO activity, the role of Head of ECO has arisen, holding P&L accountability for this department. You’ll join an existing successful, high performing team and gain invaluable insight about the low carbon and energy sectors. This role will equip you with the skills required to explore other commercial and/or operational roles within the business, including senior leadership roles.
You’ll be leading our ECO strategy, operational requirements, track delivery, work with business development managers and have direct responsibility for an established Compliance and MI team.
This role will work with the wider leadership teams to support stakeholder engagement, which may include local authorities, housing providers, regulatory bodies and charities.
You’ll be reporting directly into the Commercial Director.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Budget holder and responsible for overall financial performance of this business unit, including revenue generation, cost management, and ultimately, achieving profitability
  • Developing strategy: lead on forming and delivering our ECO strategy, including driving innovative value creation opportunities.
  • Act as an influential leader, engaging with industry bodies, including policy makers and lead on our ECO policy lobbying work.
  • Operational delivery management:
  • planning, tracking progress against deliverables, monitoring KPIs and reporting to senior management.
  • Work with wider business leads to provide operational support where workstreams overlap with ECO.
  • Own delivery management relationships with obligated suppliers
  • Risk and Governance: Lead on our risk prevention and detection efforts, through implementing a proactive and reactive approach, whilst interfacing with our finance functions to evaluate risks when identified and manage mitigating strategies.
  • Reporting: building forecasting models, monitoring spend and producing management reports
  • Regulations and policy interpretation: keep abreast of all relevant Government and Regulator guidance, policy proposals and legislation.
  • Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
