Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce a range of explosive ordnance systems for the Australian Defence Force and its allies. Working at our sites in Benalla and Mulwala - Pangerang and Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is to -
- Manage the engineering delivery discipline encompassing all Australian Munitions Product Lines, which include Munitions, Energetics, and Chemicals, as well as guided and high speed weapon activities
- Achieve the delivery of complex projects within a regulated quality and safety management framework
- Provide technical leadership and know-how across the explosive ordnance engineering lifecycle, spanning design, development, production, handling, test and evaluation
- Accomplish Technical qualification/certification activities to efficiently manage all engineering activities relating to bids, projects, and products
- People lead the Delivery Leads, including Engineering Delivery Managers and Work Package Managers, ensuring team development through skills management, coaching, career development, and mindset cultivation
On day one in this role, we’ll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
- Must have significant Explosive Ordnance engineering lifecycle knowledge and experience
- Experience influencing and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes whilst develop strong working relationships
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility in work schedule/hours/work location
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree and / or equivalent, and / or demonstrated engineering competencies required to attain CPEng
