REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience working with engineering teams, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in a scale up environment.
  • Experience with scaling teams.
  • Open and positive communication style.
  • Shaping the role as you go in an dynamic environment
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering who takes care of the growth, personal development and wellbeing for all our engineering teams. We will grow our tech department 2,5x in headcount till 2026 and in line with our growth ambition as an organization. The Head of Engineering should facilitate the growth of the team while the individuals get the best out of themselves.
Next to people management and soft skills, we are looking for a very strong software engineering background. Someone that knows how to define architecture, do system designs from scratch and is focused on scalability and performance. Together with the Director of Product, the CTO and the Agile Coach, you will make sure the software teams are able to deliver according to the product roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate personal development and performance reviews of the team members, through the people leads.
  • Focus on the wellbeing of the engineering teams (on individual level), during rapid expansion from 20 to ca 45 fte.
  • Take ownership of the hiring process for the engineering teams. Amongst others drafting, following up on and updating hiring plans, with help of people leads and product lead.
  • Coaching and assisting people leads in the teams to get the best out of their role and team.
  • Focus on departmental planning, tooling for the engineers, making an AI strategy for the team.
