ABOUT THIS ROLE:

JET Ventures is driving Innovation at scale in the JET platform. From new commercial opportunities to exploring the latest AI and technology developments in the market, we’re scanning the horizon and driving our growth.
As Head of Engineering for our Product Incubator, you’ll be leading a group of dedicated Engineers exploring and validating new product opportunities at pace.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering for Ventures, you’ll be working with senior stakeholders across our global business and a range of external partners, building a high performing Engineering group who are able to take on the challenges of this early Innovation space.
You’ll be responsible for testing and validating a wide range of potential future lines of business, scaling from zero to one and putting the successful explorations onto a solid tech footing to grow to be a major part of our future offering.
You’ll be working across all parts of our multi-sided platform, from the earliest idea generation to the initial launch and scaling of new initiatives, and you’ll be taking the whole of our engineering organisation on this innovation journey.
Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our London office & 2 days working from home

THESE ARE SOME OF THE KEY INGREDIENTS TO THE ROLE:

• You will be responsible for building and leading our Incubator Engineering teams, validating new product ideas quickly and setting them on strong foundations to enable them to quickly scale to new lines of business.
• Fostering an engineering culture that is value-outcome-driven, promoting ownership, agility and quality.
• Supporting teams to move fast, building strong relationships with the wider Engineering group to ensure smooth delivery and minimal time to market
• Working closely with globally distributed Product and Commercial stakeholders to balance cost, effort and value trade-offs to ensure that we focus on exploring and validating the highest value business opportunities.
• Developing and executing a technical strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the broader product strategy and company technical vision.
• Driving positive change throughout our Product and Tech teams at JET, exemplifying our values and improving the overall system health
