Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Reconext is focused on changing the landscape of electronics circularity and elevating the art and science of our contributions to our customers with unlimited passion.
Today, we are a leading provider of computer hardware repair and refurbishment services, specializing in advanced servers, network switches, laptops, CPE, and other electronics. Our global facilities combine advanced industrial engineering techniques with cutting-edge automation (mechanical, optical, electronic, and software-based) to optimize efficiency and quality. As we continue to expand and improve our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to join our team. This person must possess the core technical requirements but will only be selected as the successful candidate for this role if they demonstrate an atypical passion and curiosity for experimentation and solution implementation. You must be the type of person to question everything, use first principles thinking, intelligent design and embrace fail-fast, win big at a core level.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing all engineering functions across our US sites and will additionally be involved with facilities in Mexicali and Reynosa, Mexico. These areas will include industrial engineering to optimize line / flow performance, test procedures and technologies and 4-walls supply chain performance. Reporting directly to the CEO and the SVP of North American Operations, this individual will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive operational excellence, improve manufacturing processes, and implement automation solutions. A key mandate of this role is to drive innovative engineering and process improvements, ultimately driving significant productivity gains, quality improvements, and process variability reductions. Your efforts will also support our drive to create scientifically sound contributions to our client’s sustainability objectives.
This individual will also collaborate very closely with our R&D teams in Estonia, UK, Malaysia and elsewhere where we have exceptional teams with competencies in several areas including mechatronics, software and materials science.

  • Leadership Skills:
  • Strong ability to attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills to align cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven mentality, with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Other Requirements:
