Our client is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the evolution of their platform as they scale to millions of users worldwide. The role focuses on transforming a solid technical foundation into world-class systems built for speed, scalability, and intelligent personalization. Working closely with global product and AI leaders, the Head of Engineering will shape the engineering culture, mentor top talent, and establish a high-performing engineering hub in Vietnam. Key Responsibilities Architect scalable systems to support rapid growth with high performance and security. Define and enforce engineering excellence, driving technical clarity and efficiency across teams. Build and nurture talent, creating a culture of ownership, learning, and innovation. Oversee architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps, ensuring stability and operational excellence. Collaborate globally with leadership teams to align technical strategy with business goals. Drive AI-powered innovation to enhance personalization and user experience across platforms. Requirements 10+ years leading engineering teams in startups or global tech environments. Proven experience scaling teams (from dozens to 100+) and platforms (from MVP to millions of users). Strong foundation in software architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), DevOps, and security. Strong technical foundation: Node.js, React, AWS Azure, AI (OpenAI, LLM agents) Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership and excellent communication across time zones. Track record of building high-performing engineering cultures. Excited about applying AI, automation, and data to improve scalability and performance. Excellent English communication (written and spoken) Nice-to-have Previous experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace, or AI-driven platforms Background in fitness, wellness, or consumer tech industries Experience improving engineering culture and workflow optimization in fast-growing organizations International studying or working experience, fostering global mindset and open thinking.
