Job Overview: As the Head of Engineering at ThriveCart, you will lead our engineering team to build and scale our high-performance eCommerce platform. You’ll drive architectural decisions, ensure best practices in development, and cultivate a culture of innovation and technical excellence. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, product-led environment. What Your Work Will Entail: Technical Leadership: Define and execute the engineering vision, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of the ThriveCart platform. Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture. Product Development: Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to develop and launch new features that enhance user experience and business outcomes. Scalability & Performance: Oversee infrastructure, system architecture, and DevOps strategies to ensure a reliable and scalable platform. Quality & Best Practices: Implement and enforce best practices for software development, including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and security protocols. Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating new technologies and methodologies to keep ThriveCart at the forefront of eCommerce innovation. What You Bring To This Role: 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role. Proven track record of scaling and leading engineering teams in a SaaS and eCommerce environment. Experience with payment processing, checkout systems, or related eCommerce technologies is required. Deep expertise in modern web technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar), and software architecture best practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions in a high-growth setting. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align engineering efforts with business goals.
