Key Responsibilities

• • Lead and develop the engineering function across Software Development, Data Engineering and QA.• Own the engineering strategy, technical direction and delivery of critical technology across the firm's financial services and trading platforms.• Build and maintain a high-performing engineering team, supporting recruitment, development, mentoring and progression.• Provide technical leadership across architecture, software development, data platforms, testing and system integration.• Work closely with senior technology and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.• Oversee the development of applications, APIs, microservices and data platforms supporting financial services and trading.• Establish and maintain strong engineering standards around code quality, testing, deployment and documentation.• Drive the adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, cloud technologies and DevOps.• Ensure close collaboration between developers, data engineers and QA throughout the development lifecycle.• Help shape the long-term architecture and technology roadmap as the organisation continues its modernisation programme.• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, creating a strong culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
