Job Description

As our Head of Enterprise Technology & Security, you'll sit at the heart of that transformation. This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for shaping our technology, security, data and AI agenda, ensuring we have the platforms, capabilities and governance needed to support our people, delight our customers and enable sustainable business growth.

Leading a global function and partnering closely with Executive and senior leaders, you'll help translate business ambition into practical technology strategies, drive meaningful change across the organisation, and create the conditions for innovation to flourish in a secure, scalable and responsible way.

You'll combine strategic vision with a collaborative, people-first approach, building trusted relationships across the business while leading the evolution of our technology ecosystem and AI capabilities.

What you'll do to succeed

  • Lead the enterprise technology, security, data and AI strategy, aligning priorities to business growth and customer value.
  • Develop and deliver data and AI strategies, governance and capabilities that enable insight, innovation and better decision-making.
  • Shape and optimise our SaaS-first technology ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Own enterprise architecture, ensuring technology, data and AI capabilities evolve in a scalable and sustainable way.
  • Champion a human-led, AI-enabled approach that improves productivity and enhances colleague and customer experiences.
  • Embed security, privacy, IP protection and responsible AI principles across the organisation.
  • Partner with senior leaders to drive business improvement through technology, data, analytics and AI.
  • Lead strategic change initiatives, ensuring clear priorities, adoption and measurable value.
  • Maintain secure, reliable and user-centred technology services.
  • Develop high-performing teams, partners and suppliers to support a modern, global and AI-enabled organisation.

How you'll do this

  • Translate business priorities into clear technology, data, AI and security roadmaps.
  • Shape technology and AI investment decisions using a clear Use, Build or Buy approach.
  • Strengthen data governance, ownership and trusted reporting across the organisation.
  • Embed responsible AI governance and build AI and data literacy across the business.
  • Ensure technology change is business-led, outcome-focused and supported by strong adoption plans.
  • Maintain strong operational foundations across technology services, security, business systems, enterprise architecture and data.
  • Prioritise resources and investment through effective governance, risk management and value realisation.
  • Partner with the Head of Programme Delivery to deliver successful technology-enabled change.
  • Develop strategic supplier and technology partnerships that maximise capability, innovation and value.

Qualifications

How you'll show up and what you're great at

  • A strategic, commercially aware and human-centred leader who sees technology, data and AI as business enablers.
  • Building trusted relationships across executive leaders, business stakeholders, technology teams, suppliers and partners.
  • Translating complex technology, data, AI and security topics into clear, practical and business-friendly language.
  • Driving adoption and optimisation of SaaS-first enterprise platforms and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Leading high-performing teams through change, ambiguity and growth, creating clarity, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Balancing innovation, service excellence and operational discipline with risk management and compliance.
  • Monitoring emerging technology, AI, security and data trends, translating them into practical opportunities for the business.
  • Managing vendors, budgets, technology investments and delivery portfolios to maximise value, scalability and strategic outcomes.
  • Role modelling ethical leadership, strong judgement and a commitment to protecting data, privacy, security and intellectual property.
  • Resilient, pragmatic and adaptable, able to move between strategic direction, executive influence and practical delivery.

The impact you'll have

This role goes beyond technology.

You'll help shape how Insights uses technology, data and AI to create better experiences for our people, customers, practitioners and learners. You'll foster a culture of innovation, security and continuous improvement, ensuring our systems, services and capabilities support ambitious business goals today and into the future.

As a senior leader, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Insights, influencing enterprise-wide change and creating the conditions for people, technology and innovation to thrive.

  • If you're passionate about technology, security, data and AI, and excited by the opportunity to make a lasting impact across a global organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
