QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in EHS leadership within a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and standards.
· Proven experience in multi-site safety management and large-scale facility operations.
· Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and lead through influence.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
· Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As part of our continuous expansion at BMC Manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to lead and enhance our safety culture across our four manufacturing locations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving policies and programs that ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintain the highest safety standards, and set new benchmarks in the industry.
The successful candidate will drive a culture of proactive safety, worker welfare, and sustainability while ensuring alignment with company policies and the Safety Statement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a company-wide EHS vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
· Compliance & Regulatory Management: Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as internal company policies.
· Workplace Safety & Culture: Promote a strong safety culture by leading initiatives, setting clear expectations, and fostering a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
· Training & Development: Develop and oversee comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and adhere to safety protocols.
· Incident Prevention & Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and investigations; implement corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce incidents and near-misses.
· Sustainability & Environmental Impact: Drive sustainability initiatives that reduce the company’s environmental footprint and enhance corporate social responsibility efforts.
· Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance across all sites.
· Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with leadership, operations, HR, and other departments to integrate safety into all aspects of the business.
· Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain robust emergency response plans and crisis management strategies.
· Innovation & Industry Standards: Identify and implement new technologies, processes, and best practices that position the company as a leader in workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
