On-call: Participation in a 24/7 rota required

We are now seeking a Head of Estates to lead our property and estates function with excellence, empathy, and vision.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a leader with substantial senior-level experience in FM or Building Services, and the passion to make a meaningful impact.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Senior management experience in FM or related technical discipline
• Strong technical knowledge across multiple FM disciplines
• Track record in delivering capital project plans and managing performance
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric, multi-site environments
• Excellent stakeholder, contractor, and supplier management
• Resilience, analytical strength, and a proactive mindset
• High-level organisational skills and IT/system literacy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Recognised high-level technical qualification in Facilities Management or a related discipline
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Head of Estates, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, delivery, and continuous improvement of our Facilities Management (FM) services and capital projects across our estate.
Working collaboratively with our third-party FM contractor, specialist services providers, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure we offer a high-performing, safe, and sustainable environment. Your leadership will drive innovation and value across all facets of our property estate.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and develop strong, high-performing partnerships with FM contractors.
• Design and implement our capital investment strategy and project plan.
• Drive high standards of compliance, health and safety, and service delivery.
• Manage and optimise the estates and FM budget, identifying efficiencies and added-value opportunities.
• Support and mentor the Estates Project Manager and wider caretaker workforce.
• Build strong internal relationships and ensure a joined-up, proactive FM service.
• Analyse data to inform strategic decision-making and preventive maintenance.
• Act as a visible leader and ambassador of our values, inspiring excellence across all estate activities.
