Description

THE ORGANISATION

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces, including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK, with tens of millions of visits every year.
We are now looking for a Head of Events and Filming to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of The Royal Parks’ events programme, combining strategic vision, commercial acumen, and operational command. You’ll drive income growth through innovative event strategies, lead complex negotiations with senior stakeholders, and oversee the seamless delivery of world-class events across London’s most iconic green spaces. From shaping multi-million-pound tenders to managing live event command and crisis communications, you’ll be the senior figure ensuring every event protects the parks’ heritage, ecology, and public value while delivering exceptional experiences for millions of visitors.

Additionally, you will:

  • Lead on licence variations to extend and improve commercial outputs
  • Serve as TRP’s senior representative in complex event discussions with Government and key London agencies, ensuring the charity’s interests are upheld
  • Ensure continuous improvement by embedding a culture of learning, conducting post-event reviews, and implementing operational feedback into future planning
