Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to bring financial clarity and operational rigour to our business. Our client is now seeking an experienced and values-aligned Head of Finance to lead their Finance function and support their sustainable and international expansion. This role will be responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, operational excellence, and insightful business partnering across the company. You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team, bringing financial clarity, discipline, and strategic insight to support decision-making, scalability, and long-term profitability. Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Employment: Full-Time Permanent Location: Canggu, Bali, Indonesia Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute our client’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth plans. Act as a trusted financial partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing strategic guidance and financial insight. Build, lead and mentor the Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence and continuous improvement. Establish clear financial KPIs and dashboards to monitor company performance. Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities to support sustainable growth. Financial Operations & Control Own and manage all accounting and finance functions, including month-end and year-end close (AR, AP, accruals, prepayments, GL, reconciliations), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and review financial statements, cash flow reports and management accounts in line with accounting standards. Lead statutory audits when required and act as the main point of contact with auditors. Define, implement and maintain strong financial policies, procedures and internal controls across the company. Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements across jurisdictions. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes in close collaboration with department heads. Maintain rolling forecasts for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, proactively flagging financial risks and opportunities. Deliver in-depth business performance analysis by product, channel and geography. Translate financial results into clear operational insights and recommendations. Support leadership in understanding key business drivers and “getting behind the numbers”. Strategic Finance & Decision Support Provide financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis for investments, growth initiatives and strategic projects. Assess financial return on new initiatives, market expansions and capital investments. Support long-term financial planning and scenario modelling. Tax, Compliance & External Stakeholders Manage relationships with banks, tax advisors and other financial stakeholders. Oversee tax compliance, tax-efficient structures and review of all tax filings. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to external parties when required. Payroll & Cross-Functional Collaboration Oversee payroll in close collaboration with HR and external providers. Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Marketing and People teams to ensure financial alignment across the business. Support department heads with financial guidance to improve planning and decision-making. Systems, Data & Automation Lead continuous improvements in financial systems, data integration and automation. Work closely with IT and Operations to improve ERP usage, reporting accuracy and financial visibility. Balance efficiency, scalability and profitability in system and process design. About You You are a strategic and grounded finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with commercial and people leadership skills. Strategic & Hands-On: You can think long-term while staying deeply involved in execution. Commercially Minded: You understand how financial decisions impact the wider business and customer experience. Detail-Oriented with Big Picture Vision: You combine financial rigour with business perspective. Collaborative Leader: You partner naturally with non-finance teams and communicate clearly. Data-Driven: You are comfortable leveraging financial and operational data to drive decisions. Mission-Aligned: You are motivated by sustainability, ethical business and purpose-led brands. Agile & Resilient: You thrive in fast-growing, evolving environments. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field. Required local certifications to hold a senior finance position. 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance roles, including at least 2–3 years in a senior leadership position. Strong experience in retail and/or ecommerce businesses. Previous experience in Audit is a plus. ERP-agnostic with experience in system integrations and process improvement. Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills. Strong attention to detail and financial control, with a proactive attitude that adds value to the business. Demonstrated ability to understand key business drivers and consistently “get behind the numbers”. Ability to adapt to new assignments and shifting deadlines in a fast-growing environment. Excellent communication and leadership capabilities. Fluent in English (other languages a plus depending on location).
