Our client is a health focussed business, providing cutting-edge services to their clients. They are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurially minded Head of Finance to lead their finance function. This is an agile business with the role best suited to someone who enjoys autonomy & accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Lead on all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring that accounting records are kept appropriately and that reported results comply with all accounting standards, statutory requirements and other relevant legislation. Key duties and responsibilities will include financial risk management; ensuring that the organisation operates within a robust financial control environment and preparation of the monthly financial statements and MI

Duties may include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate closing of all books of accounts to ensure that the monthly financial close, preparing, reviewing and publishing timely financial statements
  • Managing all aspects of the accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger.
  • Enforce effective credit control policies
  • Review and ensure accounts payables are reconciled and payments are made correctly and in line with supplier payment terms
  • Review and approve payments as well as managing bank access and approval processes
  • Timely invoicing and cash collection
  • Management of all monthly reconciliations to the Balance Sheet, asset reviews and any other visits required to ensure the accuracy of the reported Balance Sheet.
  • Implementing, maintaining and documenting business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls suitable for a fast-paced growing business to ensure spend remains within budget.
  • Cash flow management for the business to maintain working capital requirements
  • Assist in integrating all financial aspects of all future acquisitions and adapt processes to align all subsidiaries.
  • Implementing new accounting systems (as required) focused on an automated solution for all processes where identified.
