Your tasks

As Head of Finance, you will assume overall business responsibility for the Memory Center in close cooperation with the management. This includes, in particular:

• Responsibility for ongoing financial accounting and bookkeeping
• Development and enhancement of a meaningful internal reporting system
• Preparation and processing of evaluations, analyses and decision-making bases for management.
• Structured further development of the dunning process and receivables management
• Responsibility for the correct and timely billing of our outpatient, partial inpatient and day care services
• Preparation and participation in salary negotiations, ensuring compliance with the relevant legal and contractual requirements.
• Structured further development of the MD process as well as preparation, coordination and support of MD audits
• Communication with cost bearers and other interface partners in the financial sector
• Interface to the external tax consulting firm in the preparation of the annual financial statements
• Professional and organizational management of the billing team
• Ensuring transparent, efficient and audit-proof structures

What you bring

We are looking for someone who combines a strong understanding of numbers, expertise in medical and nursing billing, and ideally, entrepreneurial thinking. In addition, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A degree in business administration or completed commercial training, for example as a financial accountant, certified accountant, tax clerk or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
• Ideally, experience in medical controlling at a hospital or other healthcare institution.
• Sound knowledge of billing for medical or nursing services, or the ability and interest to quickly and thoroughly familiarize oneself with this area.
• Experience in dealing with health insurance providers and the medical service
• A high degree of independence, sense of responsibility and organizational skills
• Enjoyment in building structures, questioning processes and actively driving digitalization forward
• The ability to present complex issues in an understandable way and to give management clear recommendations for action.
