Gate Technology Limited (the “Company”), which recently acquired a MiCAr license, is currently looking for a fully qualified and experienced Head of Finance to maintaining accurate financial records, implementing effective financial controls, preparing internal and external financial reporting and ensuring timely submission of VAT and tax reports in collaboration with external partners \n Job Duties and Responsibilities The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company. Ensure adherence to best accounting practices. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in collaboration with external partners Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports. Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyse budget variances and provide insights to management. Develop and monitor internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary. Prepare for and actively participate in the annual audit process. Coordinate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Ensures compliance with all tax reporting requirements including income tax, VAT, and employment taxes. Preparation and submission of VAT quarterly returns. Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure financial documents are accurate and support business operations. Provide financial expertise and support to various teams as needed. Preparation of regulatory returns and ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Responsible for monthly reconciliations. Reconciliation and reporting of crypto transactions Requirements Fully qualified accountant – 3+ years post-qualification experience. Proven work experience in a similar position. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS), and their application in preparing accurate financial statements While experience working in the audit profession would be considered favourably, this role requires experience in a senior role in finance, preferably within the fintech industry.
