ANNUAL SALARY: $175,000 - $190,550 PER ANNUM + SUPERANNUATION

We’re seeking a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial principles and a proven track record of leading high-performing finance teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Join us as Head of Finance on a maximum-term contract of 13 months. This exciting opportunity is scheduled to commence in early November 2025, allowing ample time for a smooth transition and onboarding.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture and professional growth
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors
  • Contribute to long-term financial planning and forecasting to ensure business growth and sustainability
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Financial Management Act 2006
  • Manage a sound system of risk management and internal control that operates efficiently and effectively in all material respects
  • Ensure transparent financial reporting to internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies, including profit or loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Oversee the submission of Treasury financial returns
  • Champion a best practice controls and governance culture within financial management operations
  • Drive the uplift of financial management skills, accountability and commercial capability across the business
  • Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and strategic investments
  • Optimise working capital, manage debt levels and contribute to capital allocation and investment decisions
  • Ensure compliance with financial and corporate regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, AASB, IFRS)
  • Lead delivery as required to audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure robust financial controls and reporting standards are evidenced

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideally, you would hold qualifications and experience in:

  • Member of Chartered Accountants ANZ or CPA or recognised affiliated professional bodies
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance (Economics, Commerce or Accounting)
  • Comprehensive understanding of management and financial accounting
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • High proficiency in financial and accounting software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial planning tools)
  • Experience in financial accounting and corporate compliance such as statutory reporting, GST, and FBT and employment tax lodgement processes
  • Significant experience in a senior financial role
