  Our client is a growing firm in the commodity trading sector. This is a hands-on head of finance role managing a small team reporting to the global head of finance and the CEO in Singapore.

QUALIFICATIONS/ ACADEMIC BACKGROUND/ SKILLS

• Has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a member of ISCA
• Min 20+ years of experience with some years of energy trading exposure
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is required
• Experience working in smaller MNCs or working in start-up roles in addition to MNC experience is required
• Hands-on experience doing finance transformation work is beneficial
• Very hands-on despite being senior
• Adaptable, meticulous and flexible.
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Possess strong people skills

• Ensure MAS regulated entity set of accounts are managed and kept in accordance regulatory requirements
• Work on fund raising activities and other finance /accounting functions.
• Spearhead and implement finance transformation projects.
