Job Description We are committed to excellence in all aspects of our business and are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Shared Services Center Head to lead the establishment and operation of a established in 2024 shared services center in Braga, Portugal. As the Finance Shared Services Center Head your primary focus will be to lead the Finance Shared Services Center in Braga, Portugal. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, and aligning the center with our global financial strategy. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in SLA management, KPI tracking, continuous improvement initiatives, and budget and forecast planning and management. You will also lead and develop the team, ensuring high performance, strong stakeholder engagement, and ongoing process optimization. Operations Leadership & Center Oversight Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance Shared Services Center in Braga, ensuring efficient service delivery and alignment with global finance strategy. Leverage existing SSC frameworks, processes, and best practices to maintain consistency and operational excellence. Team Leadership and Development Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure strong employee engagement, capability development, and succession planning. Process Governance & Optimization Ensure effective execution of established accounting processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting. Drive process standardization, optimization, and scalability while maintaining high quality and efficiency in a multi-entity, fast-paced environment. Service Delivery & Stakeholder Management Provide high-quality accounting services to a decentralized organization with multiple legal entities. Collaborate closely with Finance Directors and operational stakeholders across countries to ensure alignment with business needs and local requirements. Compliance and Controls Ensure all operations comply with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Maintain strong internal controls and support audit requirements. SLA Management Manage and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure consistent achievement of performance and quality targets. Proactively identify gaps and implement corrective actions where necessary. KPIs & Continuous Improvement Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and service quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, driving automation, standardization, and best practice adoption. Financial Management Own budget planning, forecasting, and cost control for the SSC. Monitor financial performance and take proactive measures to ensure alignment with targets. Leadership & Strategic Alignment Provide strong leadership to the established center, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. Partner with senior leadership to support long-term strategy, operational excellence, and service expansion initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 8 years in a leadership role (AR/AP and GL). Strong knowledge of accounting principles, local and international regulations, and financial reporting standards Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional languages a plus Experience in implementing new ERP is a plus. Additional Information We support your development!
