This role is for a senior leader (Head of Finance & Strategy) of Glovo’s Serbia team, who will lead the Finance team in Serbia and help in taking decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country and in the region We're looking for someone who has a mix of the: Operational excellence to get great work done Negotiation and collaboration skills needed to bring out the best from our partners Strategic, innovative and creative thinking that's required to develop outside the box solutions Management skills and emotional intelligence required to lead and inspire a team THE JOURNEY Lead the Finance Department in Serbia and help in taking decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country and in the region. GM right-hand in any finance & strategic topic. Manage operational information, financial statements and preparation of forecasts & budget. Be involved in management control: definition of procedures, the design of budget processes. Prepare & present monthly, quarterly / annual finance reports and analysis (P&L and cost-saving plans). Prepare analysis and justifications of actuals data, forecasts, and deviations. Study the viability of investments/projects - reports, strategic reorientation, etc. Assess new business opportunities and new vertical developments and changes. Incubate and lead the launch of new projects in the Country. Support & oversee if needed treasury/accounting. Support in monitoring financial policies. Support the preparation of Financial Statements. Supervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultants. Ad hoc analysis to provide the different managers with information for decision making. Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference. Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE 7+ years of experience in total 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Consulting 3+ years in a Leadership Role Bachelor's degree in finance and/or business (MBAs/ACCA/CPA Certification would be an advantage) Knowledge of local accounting and tax standards (Local GAAP) Skills Problem solving Strong problem-solving skills - you are hypothesis-driven & looking for data to drive decisions An ability to take any problem, deep dive, reveal route cause, draft improvement solutions and communicate to stakeholders Presentation & Communication skills Great communication and interpersonal skills An ability to summarise and present complex plans to Management and key stakeholders Team leadership: 3+ years of experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve collective goals Experience building and managing high-performance teams to achieve ambitious goals: strong organisational skills and delegation, ability to prioritise and multitask, work well under pressure, and handle multiple issues simultaneously in a dynamic environment Business acumen: Proven track record of understanding and empathising with colleagues’ / partners' challenges, and objectives to create strategies and deliver value through collaboration Stakeholder collaboration: External: Proven experience of working with external partners and governmental authorities to align on strategic initiatives and ensure seamless collaboration Internal: You’re an expert on managing stakeholders, working with peers, and leveraging other teams aspiring to do what’s best for the company Project management Highly organised and detail-oriented approach, you are able to maintain and deliver on time multiple project simultaneously Other Excellent knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, Excel Excellent written and spoken Serbian & English language Culture Ability to work in a high growth and high-performance start-up with a fast pace while being hands-on and autonomous Adaptable, positive mindset: possess a flexible attitude towards evolving roles within finance domain; we value versatility & the ability to adapt to new challenges while ensuring a consistent job scope A can-do attitude and endless curiosity - you wonder why something happened / spend hours figuring it out, and can’t stop thinking about solutions Obsessed with continuous improvements, delivering value and allergic to manual tasks!
