Key Responsibilities
- Leading and developing an integrated Finance function
- Ensuring financial reporting, controls and governance are maintained to a high standard across a multi-entity structure, including management of the annual external audit
- Strengthening planning, forecasting and decision support capability, and developing a more commercially focused finance team
- Contributing financial insight to capital planning and funding strategies for major initiatives, including affordability and investment decision-making
- Driving genuine transformation, including the simplification of reporting structures, cost centre hierarchies, workflows and approval processes
- Partnering closely with Strategic Delivery on business cases, project governance and benefits realisation
- Providing governance and coordination oversight of Procurement within the Finance portfolio

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with excellent stakeholder engagement expertise. They will combine strong leadership and coaching capability with solid technical grounding, and be adept at strategising, building a roadmap, managing expectations and bringing people along with a shared vision.
Qualifications And Experience
- A minimum of ten years' senior finance experience, including at least five years in a finance leadership role such as Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Manager
- Strong technical credentials across financial reporting, audit, controls, governance and compliance
- A demonstrated track record of leading simplification and transformation initiatives, underpinned by a strong continuous improvement mindset
- Proven business partnering experience and sound commercial decision-making judgement
- Experience with eliminations and multi-entity consolidations
- The ability to operate strategically with executives while remaining willing to engage with operational details
- Experience within a complex, purpose-driven organisation is well regarded, along with a practical, collaborative and resilient approach
