Job Description Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (Total Television), you will lead the reporting and FP&A functions across some of Nine’s premier assets, including Nine Network and 9Now. In this pivotal 14 month parental leave contract, you will act as a key strategic partner to executive leadership, providing the financial insights and commercial foresight necessary to navigate and thrive within a rapidly evolving digital media landscape. Day to day you will: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to drive operational and commercial success. Direct month-end reporting and statutory compliance in line with Australian Accounting Standards. Lead financial cycles, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning. Deliver strategic insights to the Executive team regarding performance, risks, and opportunities. Partner with Strategy to build business cases supporting the transition to digital streaming. Manage audit relationships and ensure the integrity of half-year and year-end reporting. Optimise reporting processes through automation to increase speed and accuracy of insights. What you'll bring: CA/CPA qualification and significant prior experience in progressive finance leadership roles. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor teams and build trust quickly. Expertise in FP&A, including management reporting, forecasting, and balance sheet control. Commercial acumen to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies. Advanced technical proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and modern forecasting tools.
