JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

A new established Microfinance Bank situated in Ikeja area of Lagos is looking to hire a Head Of Finance who will be responsible for overseeing the following:

Lead the preparation of annual budgets.

• Prepare Management reports and other statutory reports as required.
• Prepare the Quarterly Performance Report for the Bank with the approved template.
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s

performance compared to the business plans.

• Responsible for Treasury management.
• Support external auditors with annual audit exercises.
• Handle month-end and year-end close process.
• Reporting to management and stakeholders, and advising on how the company and future

business decisions might be impacted.

• Conduct periodic review of all Bank reconciliation statements prepared by the Account Officer

and ensure prompt treatment of all reconciling items.

• Review invoices and other payment requests for appropriate approvals, adequacy of budget

cover, validity of claims, and relevant supporting documents.

• Maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts

receivable, credit control, and petty cash.

• Preparation and administration of the Payroll.
• Review and reconcile relevant tax accounts – VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc. to ensure completeness,

accuracy, and validity.
