You’ll own the financial targets, forecasting, and month-end processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and performance ambitions. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence financial strategy at the executive level, working closely with senior leaders across both NZ and Australia. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Westpac NZ’s financial strategy and performance, driving the monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes to support strategic decision-making. Your insights will influence key business decisions, and you’ll maintain strategic awareness by tracking competitor activity, industry trends, and regulatory developments. Key responsibilities include: Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality financial consolidation, reporting, and insights, including preparing compelling reports and presentations for the Board and Executive audiences in both New Zealand and Australia. Build trusted relationships across Westpac NZ and the Westpac Group in Australia, engaging regularly with the Executive Team, CFO, and Finance Leadership Team, and partnering with Finance, Treasury, and other Business Units to ensure consistency and clarity in financial reporting and planning. Lead and develop a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage competing priorities and champion initiatives that enhance reporting efficiency and the quality of financial insights. Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? We are looking for an experienced Finance Leader with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to influence at the executive level.
