As Head of FinTech Delivery, you will lead the delivery function across multiple development teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder expectations, and enterprise standards. This role is pivotal in driving delivery excellence, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring consistent practices across software development streams. While not a hands-on technical role, it requires strong technical acumen to engage effectively with developers, architects, and enterprise stakeholders. Job Responsibilities: The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: Delivery Leadership Oversee the successful delivery of multiple concurrent software initiatives across diverse financial products. Collaborate with Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure clear requirements, realistic timelines, and efficient execution. Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks, ensuring consistency in workflows, testing practices, and development standards. Identify and implement cross-team efficiencies, including deduplication of efforts, shared components, and reusable practices. Champion the creation, documentation, and dissemination of best practices across development teams to ensure consistency and foster continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary point of contact for enterprise stakeholders and internal clients, ensuring transparency and alignment on priorities. Facilitate regular communication between development teams and business units to ensure delivery meets expectations. Support strategic planning and roadmap alignment across teams and products. Team & Culture Management Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing group of team leads, developers, and analysts across multiple locations. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Partner with HR and recruitment to attract and retain top talent. Establish cross-functional forums and innovation rituals (e.g., showcases, guilds, retrospectives) to promote knowledge sharing, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving across the group. Technical Collaboration Maintain a strong understanding of enterprise architecture, development practices, and technology stacks (e.g., .NET, React, SQL, REST APIs, cloud platforms). Engage with technical leads to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant. Promote shared technical standards and practices across teams. Skills / Attributes / Experience Required: Experience Required 10+ years of experience in enterprise software delivery, with 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing multiple teams or programs. Proven track record in managing delivery within complex, regulated environments such as finance or banking. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Experience working in matrixed organizations with global stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience setting up or managing global development hubs. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), DevOps practices, and GitHub Enterprise. Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or equivalent commercial experience. Skills Desired Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Ability to influence and motivate teams across different levels. Skilled in risk identification and mitigation. Comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and sponsors.
