Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Being the Company Secretary
  • Lead the development and implementation of governance and risk
  • Design and deliver the governance strategy and operational plan.
  • Define the organisation’s risk appetite and own the risk management framework.
  • Advise the Board and Executive on corporate governance.
  • Lead the corporate planning framework, including strategic progress reporting.
  • Represent the organisation with external stakeholders.
  • As a leadership team member, uphold organisational values.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Knowledge of corporate governance in a regulated sector.
  • A sound understanding of the social housing environment.
  • Experience of servicing Board and Committees.
  • Experience of leading risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, and be a strategic thinker.
  • Strong relationship builder, being an ambassador for GLH.
  • Preparedness to work outside the contracted 35-hour week to deliver tight deadlines and travel within UK.
