Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS ROLE AT MEMOQ

As a member of memoQ’s Sales Team, you will

  • Manage the team and sales pipeline in the assigned territory (China, India, Japan, South Korea, eventually Australia, rest of the Asian region).
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the regional sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives, while ensuring all company policies and processes are being implemented.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including key accounts and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop region-specific campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to the management.
  • Represent memoQ at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

  • Experience with managing geographically spread sales team (ideally software sales)
  • Experience in the Translation and Localization industry
  • Demonstrated track record of success in achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing high-performance sales team
  • Fluent English required; Chinese or Japanese or Korean desirable
  • Understanding of team management processes, HR processes
  • Personality: able to work with the most independent people
  • Compliance with memoQ standards
  • Proven track of building strong relationships with colleagues, peers, subordinates, supervisors
  • Experience in OKR, KPI, data management, analytics, reporting, CRM systems
  • Strong leadership skills, empathy, dedication
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with a very diverse team, with very diverse peers
  • Strong motivation, team-spirit, and dedication to the company
