Position Summary:
Snapchef is seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Human Resources & Accounting to lead both our HR and accounting functions across multiple locations. This role will oversee all aspects of human resources and support the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, people-first leader with a strong attention to detail, who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities – Human Resources:

  • Oversee full-scope HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and training.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and HR policies.
  • Maintain and manage employee records and HR systems.
  • Support operations managers and franchise partners with HR guidance and support.
  • Lead performance review processes and employee engagement efforts.
  • Drive DEI and workforce development initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities – Accounting & Finance:

  • Assist with managing payroll processes and ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution.
  • Support invoicing, expense tracking, and accounts payable/receivable functions.
  • Maintain accurate financial and accounting records, and assist with monthly reporting.
  • Help manage vendor relationships and contract records.
  • Work with leadership and external accountants to support budget tracking, audits, and financial planning.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure financial transactions comply with company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, accounting principles, and compliance standards.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in both HR and finance work.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, or similar HR and accounting platforms.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification and/or accounting certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in staffing, hospitality, or culinary industries is preferred.
