Description

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is looking for a Head of Human Resources to join our team. This is an onsite role based out of our Houston, Texas Headquarters located near the Galleria District.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR management, including demonstrated experience in HR operations and shared services environment.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including Title VII, the ACA, FLSA, NLRA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers’ compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to manage and influence cross-business and global teams.
  • Ability to understand issues at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Expertise in HR operations, employee relations, vendor management, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications: SHRM-SCP, GPHR, PMP, CCMP, or related.
