The company builds and scales its own products - no outsourcing, no external clients, and no investor pressure. The new IT and engineering hub is being established in Warsaw, operating in a hybrid model with 2–3 days per week of office collaboration to support teamwork and innovation. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources to design, lead, and scale the HR function during a period of active growth. This is a unique opportunity to build the HR foundation of the new Warsaw hub, establish a new Polish legal entity, and later expand HR operations across the entire global organization. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational ownership. Key Responsibilities 1. Establishing the Warsaw Hub (Initial Priority) Lead HR setup for the new Polish legal entity. Build the first local team: finance, administration, operational roles. Oversee all HR operations in Poland, including: payroll and compensation processes, benefits, contract management (B2B/employment), PTO and sick leave systems, compliance with Polish labor law, HR documentation and internal frameworks. Implement HR systems and operational processes for the new hub. 2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Lead the Talent Acquisition function (internal recruiters + external partners). Create efficient hiring processes aligned with growth plans. Oversee contracts and onboarding in collaboration with Legal. Ensure a structured and positive onboarding experience for all new employees. 3. HR Operations & People Processes Build and maintain HR policies aligned with legal, compliance, and business needs. Manage the entire employee lifecycle: onboarding → development → performance → offboarding. Oversee payroll accuracy, benefits, and HRIS tools. Implement performance management frameworks, including 360° reviews. Handle conflict resolution, employee relations, and disciplinary processes. Lead organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives. 4. Culture, Engagement & Communication Act as the primary HR contact for managers and employees. Strengthen engagement, productivity, accountability, and collaboration. Support a transparent, performance-driven culture in a remote-first environment. Ensure clear and consistent internal communication across countries and teams. 5. Global HR Scaling (After 3–6 Months) Once the Warsaw hub is established, the Head of HR will gradually: take ownership of global HR operations, standardize people processes across all regions, support remote teams at scale, collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and organizational design. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in Human Resources. 3+ years in a senior HR leadership role (Head of HR, HR Director, Head of People). Strong background in digital, tech, or SaaS companies. Hands-on experience with Polish HR regulations, payroll, and compliance (must-have). Proven experience building HR functions or hubs from scratch. Experience working with distributed remote teams. Strong Talent Acquisition expertise is mandatory. Strategic thinker with strong hands-on operational execution. Deep understanding of HR frameworks, policies, and people processes. Ability to build structure, enforce accountability, and drive results. Advanced English (required). Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package (discussed individually).
