Job Description About the role We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Head of Indirect Tax to lead the Group’s indirect tax agenda and guide the organisation through continued international growth. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape tax strategy, strengthen governance, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to enable confident, compliant, and efficient decision-making. The position is Hybrid and will be located in Stockholm, reporting to Vice President Treasury and Tax. It is an individual contributor role. Your impact will include Lead the global indirect tax strategy, ensuring it supports the organisation’s goals and future growth. Oversee VAT compliance reporting, implementing VAT risk control and exploring VAT automation solutions. Advise senior leadership on complex transactions, providing clear, commercially focused recommendations. Support subsidiaries in their reporting, hands-on indirect tax matters, and coordination of best practices. Enhance tax governance across key financial processes, working closely with cross-functional partners. Shape supply chain and commercial decisions, highlighting VAT implications and identifying opportunities to drive efficiency. Manage audits and tax authority relationships, maintaining a strong low-risk position for the Group. Qualifications About you You are a confident, insightful tax leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and improving the way things are done. You enjoy working collaboratively across a global organisation and take pride in providing clear, practical guidance that strengthens the business. You will be successful in this role if you enjoy partnering with business stakeholders and influencing at a senior level, shaping smarter processes, and contributing to a strong, future-ready tax environment. You bring A strong background in indirect tax management (5+ years) Experience gained in consultancy and/or corporate A master’s degree in Business, Law, Finance or another relevant discipline Natural ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional indirect tax projects An analytical mindset with enthusiasm for numbers, data, and meaningful insights Ability to balance detail with strategic perspective, communicating clearly at all levels Curiosity, integrity, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement A collaborative style with strong communication and relationship-building skills Fluency in English Here at Sobi we live by our core values: Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership!
