Employment Type Permanent Closing Date 30 June 2026 11:59pm Job Title Head of Information Security Job Summary Your job will be to set the direction for information security at Belong and make sure cyber risk, resilience and control discipline is built into how we design, build, run and evolve our products, platforms and customer services. The current security program spans governance, risk and compliance, security architecture, application security, security operations, vulnerability and threat management, identity and access governance, incident response, third-party risk, security awareness and resilience of critical services Job Description You’ll lead and grow the security capability, provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders, and represent security in key governance forums across Belong and Telstra . You will make this happen by: Shaping a practical cyber security strategy and operating model that is right-sized for Belong. Reduce material cyber and technology risk by improving visibility, ownership and treatment of key exposures. Strengthen resilience for critical customer and business services, including disaster recovery, cyber recovery and scenario testing. Give executives and governance forums credible, decision-useful reporting on risk, resilience, incidents, controls and remediation progress Your Skills and Experience will include: Proven experience leading an information security or cyber security function in a complex technology environment. Strong capability in cyber strategy, governance, technology risk management, control assurance and security uplift planning. Experience strengthening resilience for critical services, including disaster recovery, cyber recovery, scenario exercises and response playbooks. Experience building and leading high-performing teams, including coaching, prioritisation and capability development. Strong understanding of modern technology environments, including cloud platforms, software delivery, identity, infrastructure, data protection, logging and monitoring. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate security risks, priorities and trade-offs in clear business terms. Experience with cyber incident preparedness and response, including detection, escalation, containment, recovery and post-incident improvement. Good knowledge of security frameworks, privacy, resilience and telecommunications obligations relevant to Australian organisations About You : You’re an experienced security leader who can operate at strategy, governance and delivery level. You’re calm under pressure, commercially grounded, and comfortable moving between executive conversations, engineering trade-offs and incident response.
