We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Head of North American IT to lead and coordinate all IT operations across our U.S. and Canadian locations, while serving as the primary regional liaison to the global IT organization headquartered in Austria. This role is critical in aligning North American IT initiatives with global standards, ensuring seamless cross-border and cross-continental collaboration, and delivering secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that support business growth and operational excellence. This role is located in Salt Lake City, Utah/USA or Saint-Jerome, Quebec/Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the North American IT strategy in alignment with global IT and business objectives.
  • Act as the key point of contact between North American IT teams and the Austrian-based global IT department.
  • Ensure regional compliance with global IT policies, architecture standards, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, and support services across U.S. and Canadian operations based on best-practice processes.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT services, with a focus on business continuity, reliability, disaster recovery and performance of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with the global IT leadership team to align on global initiatives, system integrations, and enterprise-wide projects, including budget management.
  • Participate in global IT governance forums and contribute to the development of global IT roadmaps and standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed IT team across North America.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the successful delivery of regional and global IT projects, including cloud migrations, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate the financial, cultural, technological, organizational and environmental factors and identifies the change management activities necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new capability and/or services.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S., Canadian, and international data privacy and cybersecurity regulations (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA).
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity and risk management practices in coordination with global security teams.
  • Anticipate future information technology needs based upon solid understanding of digital and industry trends.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration with IT colleagues globally.
  • Partner with regional business leaders to understand technological needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Communicate IT strategy, performance, and risks to both regional and global executive leadership.
