Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Head of Innovation Operations & Management, you will be the driving force behind turning our innovation ambitions into real market outcomes. You’ll lead a small team of 3-5 talented people and work directly with the Head of Innovation to strengthen our pipeline, bring commercial thinking into our projects, and ensure our innovation efforts move through our innovation funnel and into the real world.
We’re looking for someone who has been “in the trenches” and knows first-hand how innovation actually happens. Ideally, someone who has:
✔ Run or been part of running an accelerator or innovation program inside a large organization,
✔ Taken a product or business idea from concept to commercial scale
✔ Or worked in venture capital with a hands-on focus on scaling ventures – not just managing spreadsheets

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and strengthen our innovation pipeline by helping us bring in new, commercially promising ideas
  • Accelerate projects in our innovation funnel by ensuring they have been validated in the market before development
  • Inject commercial thinking and operational excellence across all innovation activities
  • Lead the Innovation Operations & Management team engage with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Oversee our innovation portfolio from resource allocation to impact tracking
  • Communicate our innovation efforts across the company and beyond

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU:

  • are passionate about innovation and have innovation leadership experience leading teams who has demonstrated innovation success by bringing big impact projects and business to market
  • have strong commercial instincts and know how to assess and validate ideas in terms of market potential, scalability, and business model
  • understand the inner workings of corporate innovation, venture building, or accelerators.
  • have a strong innovation tool kit, not only for personal use, but also for the ability to upskill others, and can demonstrate commercial competencies and the ability to write and present business cases
  • are pragmatic, structured, and driven by creating results – not just running processes.
  • know how to lead people and projects with energy, clarity, and impact.
  • have excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate complicated topics in an easily digestible manner
