Description

We are Wiser, an award-winning Employer Branding & Early Talent agency. We build employer brands to guide the best in the biz into their dream career with our clients.
We’re a home for people who think big and expect more; where creative and recruitment meet to change the way people think about work — not to mention having the only rainforest in Farringdon.
Our creatives use design, product, film, strategy and marketing to capture what makes companies great and showcase it in the market. Our recruitment teams introduce the right people at the beginning of their career to set these companies apart.
We believe that people will do their best work when they’re in a space that enables it. And that’s what we’ve shaped at Wiser — a culture where everyone can be real and back themselves, surrounded by high performers who take ownership of their career and make moves, no matter what their background.

  • An experienced internal communications professional, with 8+ years of experience, at least some of which must be agency-side. You’ve worked with multiple clients, balancing strategic thinking with fast-paced execution.
  • A strategic thinker and hands-on doer, someone who can define a vision while ensuring seamless execution.
  • A creative thinker who challenges the ordinary. You understand that internal communications isn’t just about information—it’s about storytelling, engagement, and making people feel connected.
  • A proven team leader, with experience building, managing, and upskilling high-performing teams.
  • A strong client leader, able to work with senior stakeholders, understand business challenges, and develop internal communications strategies that drive real impact.
  • Commercially minded, with experience managing P&L, pricing services, and leading business development efforts, including pitches and client expansion.
  • Deep knowledge of internal communications best practices, from change management and leadership communications to DE&I and engagement strategies.
  • Operationally strong, able to design efficient processes, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
  • A data-driven mindset, using insights to measure success, optimise strategies, and demonstrate impact.
  • A culture-first approach, ensuring internal communications don’t just inform—but connect, inspire, and activate employees.
Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Head of Internal Communications to lead our client-facing internal communications function, shaping and delivering best-in-class strategies that build belonging and drive action within organisations.
Partnering with the Marketing Director, you’ll set the strategic direction for our internal communications offer, crafting and rolling out game-changing campaigns that bring culture to life—helping businesses engage, inspire, and activate their people.
Our communications team specialises in turning company culture into compelling, creative, and impactful storytelling—ensuring internal communications go beyond the ordinary. This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing function, shaping how businesses connect with their people through internal comms that drive real impact on culture, engagement, and advocacy.

We’ve built a world-class approach. Now, we need someone to take it to the next level.

  • Be the expert in internal communications, leading best-in-class strategies and approaches while upskilling our internal team and presenting thought leadership to clients.
  • Building and scaling Wiser’s internal communications function, with the vision to grow a high-performing team as the function expands.
  • Growing the team and offering, establishing best practices, refining processes, and developing a suite of internal comms services that drive engagement and cultural impact.
  • Setting the standard for internal communications excellence, upskilling teams across the business to enhance communications capability, and ensuring Wiser is positioned to build a high-performing team as the function scales.
  • Owning client relationships, acting as the senior strategic partner for businesses looking to transform their internal communications.
  • Managing P&L and business development, setting commercial targets, defining pricing strategies, and playing a key role in pitching and expanding our client base.
  • Auditing existing internal communications for clients, identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities to improve engagement and alignment.
  • Developing and implementing internal communications strategies, ensuring messaging, channels, and cadence align with business objectives and employee needs.
  • Activating internal campaigns, driving meaningful engagement across change management, leadership comms, DE&I initiatives, onboarding, and cultural moments.
  • Driving operational excellence, optimising workflows, resource allocation, and processes to maintain high standards and efficiency.
  • Leveraging data and insights, measuring the impact of internal communications, and refining strategies based on performance and employee sentiment.
