JOB DESCRIPTION:

The AVP Head of International Logistics Operations is a senior role responsible for overseeing and managing the International Logistics, Customs and Logistics Contact Centre for TJX Europe. In partnership with our appointed Order Management and Logistics providers ensure we have a robust, effective and predictable network when moving TJX Europe’s International Freight.
This role is responsible for key teams within the logistics function up to a ‘Manager Of’ level and reports directly to the VP of Logistics Operations.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the company’s global operations.
  • Align logistics operations with overall business objectives.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily international logistics & customs operations, including carrier allocation, CFS operations, Customs exports and imports and delivery of key performance indicators outlined.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Maintain the corporate expectations regarding our sustainability roadmap for international logistics

Team Leadership:

  • Develop key working relationships with your primary peer group and broader peer group within the TJX Europe organisation.
  • Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals.
  • Foster a positive work culture and ensure team performance aligns with company standards.
  • Build and engage with divisional peers’ partners with mindset of ‘One TJX’

Budget Management:

  • In partnership with your finance colleagues prepare and manage the international logistics and customs department’s budget.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to financial plans.
  • Duty mitigation and control in line with global sourcing partners.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Utilize technology to enhance logistics operations.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Manage risks associated with global logistics operations
  • Support the development of business continuity plans for the International Logistics network

Responsibilities
  • Build, develop and maintain commercially strong partnerships, fostering collaborative spirit, with VP/AVP partners across Distribution Services, Finance, GS&P, Legal to ensure successful execution.
  • Create and develop a diverse high performing and talented leadership team.
  • Accountable for identifying, creating, and supporting operational relationships through International Logistics, Customs and Contact Centre teams.
  • Accountable for delivery of operational KPI’s through supporting processes, tactics, and mechanisms.
  • Accountable for development of operational plans, needs and budgets and to ensure relevance to current requirements, through collaboration with key partners.
  • Successfully deliver Distribution’s People & Culture vision, ensuring all associates feel welcome, valued & engaged and driving team morale.
  • Support the creation and ongoing development of the logistics functional strategy.
  • Identify and initiate key projects that contribute to organisational objectives and values.
