Description

Key Responsibilities Spearhead engagement with institutional and retail investors, venture capital firms, and crypto-focused funds, building trust and communicating the company’s vision, tokenomics, and financial performance in the Web3/DeFi space. Design and execute financial strategies tailored to the unique needs of a Web3 organization, aligning with growth objectives, token issuance, and potential IPO or token listing on major exchanges. Oversee the preparation of transparent financial statements, reports, and projections, ensuring compliance with both traditional finance standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and crypto-specific reporting requirements for decentralized ecosystems. Lead budgeting for blockchain development, marketing, and operational expenses, while forecasting revenue streams from token sales, staking, yield farming, and other DeFi mechanisms. Evaluate investment opportunities in Web3 projects, partnerships, and token ecosystems, providing data-driven insights to guide strategic capital allocation and maximize ROI. Navigate the complex regulatory landscape of cryptocurrencies and DeFi, ensuring compliance with global financial regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and securities laws relevant to token offerings and potential IPOs. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including market volatility, smart contract vulnerabilities, and regulatory uncertainties inherent in the Web3/DeFi space. Lead fundraising efforts, including private funding rounds, venture capital investments to secure resources for growth and development. Build and mentor a high-performing finance team with expertise in both traditional finance and blockchain technologies, fostering innovation and accountability in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred. 10+ years of experience in finance leadership, with at least 3-5 years in the Web3, DeFi, or cryptocurrency sectors, ideally in roles involving investor relations, fundraising, or capital markets. Deep understanding of blockchain technology, tokenomics, decentralized finance protocols, and crypto market dynamics. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, fundraising, and investor engagement within the crypto or technology space, with knowledge of preparing for token listings, IDOs, or IPOs. Strong grasp of global financial regulations, including SEC, CFTC, and international crypto compliance frameworks (e.g., MiCA in the EU). Demonstrated expertise in risk management, including assessing market, operational, and regulatory risks in the crypto/DeFi ecosystem. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to model complex financial scenarios involving crypto assets and decentralized platforms. Outstanding communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse stakeholders, including crypto investors, venture capitalists, and regulatory bodies. Passion for the Web3 and DeFi mission, with a proactive mindset to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
