Responsibilities
  • Lead ISM Compliance and Flag Relations across the fleet.
  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for flag state-related matters and support the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) in executing regulatory duties
  • Develop, implement, and review company procedures in line with ISM and flag requirements.
  • Coordinate with Captains, Staff Captains, and strategic working groups to ensure compliance and readiness
  • Lead the Incident & Investigation Unit, overseeing, reporting and documentation, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Management of incidents, accidents, and near misses
  • Liaise with external bodies (e.g., DNV, RINA, IACS) to maintain regulatory alignment and to strengthen and establish relationships with impact on our business
  • Coordinate relevant activities with Carnival Brands and Carnival Corporation in order to ensure representation of the Group
  • Proactively maintain good and close relationships with the various local stakeholders’ groups in strategic locations (ports etc) to ensure rapid and fast communication channels, in particular in case of an emergency
  • Coordinate a proper planification, execution and follow up of the internal and external (RINA, ITCG - Italian Administration, RAAS - Internal Audit Group, authority) ISM Audit; support the DPA in the management of the ISM System
