JOB SUMMARY

The Cornerstone Brands Team is looking for a Head of IT. The role plays a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of IT systems that support our overall operations.
The Head of IT will oversee and manage the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of its systems, while also driving innovation and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of both current and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS;

  • 3+ years of experience in IT leadership roles
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud services)
  • Experience with cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS)
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
  • Ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

Cybersecurity and Risk Management

  • Review daily cybersecurity dashboards and alerts
  • Run vulnerability scans and apply security patches
  • Lead incident response for security breaches or fraud attempts
  • Monitor site traffic for suspicious patterns or DDoS attempts

System Performance and Uptime

  • Monitor website uptime, speed, and database health
  • Confirm daily backups and test disaster recovery procedures
  • Plan and implement secure system upgrades and integrations
  • Oversee IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud services)

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other regulations
  • Secure payment gateways and monitor for fraud
  • Audit custom code and third-party plugins for vulnerabilities
  • Manage vendor contracts with security clauses

IT Support and Issue Resolution

  • Oversee IT support tickets and technical issue resolution
  • Manage staff access control and enforce MFA
  • Conduct staff cybersecurity training and phishing simulations
  • Produce security and IT performance reports
