For our client, a renowned financial institution in Karlsruhe, we are currently seeking an IT Department Head (m/f/d) to manage the company architecture, focusing on: capital markets, overall bank management, customer business, etc.

Our client is exploring new avenues within the financial industry to provide customers with greater digital access and to offer new products and services that meet the demands of a bank as a technology company.

A modern tech stack, as well as an agile mindset and the associated methodologies, help my client to drive innovation and shape the transformation into a technology company.

As part of our IT strategy, architecture management is playing an increasingly important role in steering the bank into the future. The IT landscape, with its more than 600 applications, is divided into different domains.

As department head, you will lead the newly created department with its various architectural roles and shape the future of the company's domains.

In close collaboration with the specialist departments and the architects specializing in specific topics, you will set the course for a cost-effective and at the same time adaptable corporate architecture.

For this, you identify and assess technical debt, develop a target architecture and the necessary strategy roadmap.

Activities:

• Disciplinary management of 3 teams, approximately 25 employees.
• Management, further development and design of the bank's system landscape.
• Design of an innovative and future-oriented platform architecture aligned with the bank's IT strategy.
• Steering technical requirements into technically sustainable and scalable solutions.
• Advising C-level executives on technical and architectural issues.
