Reports to: VP Operations The Role We are looking for an experienced Head of IT to lead our global IT strategy while simultaneously serving as the company’s information security and compliance lead. In this dual-hat role, you will report to the VP Operations and lead a talented team of IT professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring our infrastructure is robust and scalable (supporting R&D on-prem and in the cloud) while defining and enforcing the security policies that protect our IP and ensure compliance. What You Will Do 1. IT Strategy & Operations Leadership Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow the IT team (currently 3 members), fostering a culture of service excellence and technical growth. Infrastructure Strategy: Oversee the company’s global infrastructure, including on-premise hardware, networking, and SaaS environments (Google Workspace, Office365). Cloud Support: Partner with R&D and DevOps to support infrastructure needs across AWS (Must), Azure, and GCP. Budget & Asset Management: Own the departmental CAPEX/OPEX budget, forecasting, software licensing, and procurement. Device Management: Oversee the strategy for fleet management (Windows, Mac, Linux) utilizing Jamf and Intune. 2. Security & Compliance Lead Security Posture: Define the company’s security vision; identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. GRC Ownership: Lead Governance, Risk, and Compliance efforts. Manage audits and maintain certifications (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance). Policy Creation: Author and enforce IT and Information Security policies, ensuring staff awareness and training. Business Continuity: Own the BCP (Business Continuity Plan) and DR (Disaster Recovery) strategies to ensure operational resilience. 3. Projects & Optimization Lead complex, end-to-end IT projects (e.g., system migrations, office moves, security hardening). Drive automation and efficiency in IT processes (leveraging tools like N8N, Workato, Jira, PowerShell, Python). Define and monitor Department KPIs and SLAs. Requirements Leadership & General: 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role. Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to build roadmaps, manage budgets, and align IT strategy with business goals. Communication: Excellent English (verbal and written) with the ability to handle objections and communicate complex technical risks to non-technical management. Can Do attitude: Enabling new IT initiatives and company’s demands AI inspired : Eager to incorporate AI technology and innovation in our IT process Security & Compliance (Must Have): Deep knowledge of GRC methodologies and experience leading compliance audits (ISO 27001, SOC2). Experience in Vulnerability Management, Risk Assessment, and Incident Response. Knowledge of network security (Firewalls - FortiGate/Palo Alto/Cisco). Technical Stack (Must Have): Cloud: Strong management skills in public clouds, specifically AWS (mandatory), Azure, and GCP. SaaS Administration: Deep understanding of Google Workspace and Office 365 ecosystems. OS & Endpoints: Hands-on experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. MDM: Architecture-level knowledge of Jamf and Microsoft Intune. Virtualization: Experience with VMware and virtualization technologies. Advantages: Relevant Security Certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA). Experience supporting R&D/DevOps heavy organizations. Background in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
