About the Role Join Próspera as our Head of Landscaping and lead comprehensive grounds management operations across our growing charter city. You'll oversee a team of 60+ landscaping professionals while maintaining our golf course, gardens, greenspaces, and managing large-scale lot clearing operations. This leadership role requires both horticultural expertise and strong team management skills in a tropical Caribbean environment. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management: Lead, manage, and develop a team of 60+ landscaping and grounds maintenance staff Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and resource allocation Recruit, train, and mentor team members Ensure safety protocols and best practices across all operations Manage departmental budget and operational costs Grounds Maintenance & Operations: Maintain championship-level golf course standards and playability Oversee design and maintenance of gardens, parks, and public greenspaces Manage large-scale lot clearing and site preparation projects Coordinate irrigation systems and water management Ensure year-round landscape health in tropical climate conditions Strategic Planning & Development: Develop long-term landscaping master plans for community expansion Plan and execute seasonal maintenance schedules and projects Coordinate with development team on new construction landscaping requirements Implement sustainable practices and environmental stewardship initiatives Manage vendor relationships and equipment procurement Required Qualifications 7+ years of landscaping management experience with team leadership responsibilities Golf course maintenance experience strongly preferred Proven track record managing large teams (30+ people) Strong knowledge of tropical/Caribbean plant species and growing conditions Experience with irrigation systems, turf management, and heavy equipment operations Operational planning capabilities Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication abilities Preferred Qualifications Golf Course Superintendents Association certification or similar credentials Experience in resort, hospitality, or high-end residential communities Knowledge of sustainable landscaping and environmental best practices Budget management and financial planning experience Previous experience working in Central America or Caribbean region Project management experience with large-scale clearing and development projects What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Leadership role in a premier tropical development Opportunity to build and shape landscaping operations from the ground up Relocation assistance package for the right candidate Professional development and training opportunities Dynamic, international work environment in beautiful Roatán Location Requirements This position requires full-time, on-site presence in Próspera, Roatán.
