At Lion, our logistics network sits at the heart of how we deliver for customers. We’re hiring an exceptional Head of Logistics to lead and evolve our logistics network. This isn’t your typical role, you’ll step into a complex, hybrid environment and shape how we deliver to customers, now and into the future. From direct-to-store route models through to distribution centre networks, this is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, sees opportunities others don’t, and knows how to bring people on the journey. This role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane. You’ll sit at the centre of one of Lion’s most critical value chains, leading strategy, performance and transformation across our logistics network. You’ll: Lead and optimise Lion’s end-to-end logistics network Own and manage logistics spend, driving commercial outcomes and performance Partner closely with 3PL providers to lift capability and performance Drive network optimisation initiatives, balancing cost, service and complexity across a hybrid distribution model Lead contract management ensuring strong governance and outcomes Oversee key operational levers including materials freight, wholesaler inventory, and asset management (kegs & pallets) Collaborate cross-functionally to improve delivery promise and customer outcomes Lead supply communication and logistics visibility to support better decision-making Build, lead and evolve a high-performing team across logistics network, optimisation and asset management This is a role for a seasoned, strategic logistics leader who’s as comfortable in the detail as they are setting direction. You'll have: Proven experience leading complex logistics or supply chain networks, ideally within FMCG or 3PL environments Deep understanding of hybrid distribution models (including direct-to-store / route-based delivery) Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing large-scale budgets and driving P&L outcomes Expertise in contract management and 3PL partnerships A track record of leading transformation, optimisation and change at scale Strategic mindset, able to see around corners, prioritise effectively and translate ideas into action Highly collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence and bring stakeholders on the journey We’re a certified B Corp, which means we care about people, planet and purpose—not just profit. Responsibilities
The Head of Logistics will be responsible for leading and optimizing Lion’s end-to-end logistics network, owning logistics spend, and driving commercial performance across a complex, hybrid distribution model. This includes partnering with 3PL providers, leading network optimization initiatives, and overseeing key operational levers like freight and asset management.
