Salary: £39,882.72 per annum

ABOUT THE ROLE

Tees-Valley Care Limited and Johns Housing LTD are seeking a qualified, experienced, and proactive Head of Maintenance to oversee and manage all aspects of property maintenance and health & safety compliance across a diverse property portfolio. This includes regulated children’s residential homes, supported living accommodations, residential rental properties, student housing, and several commercial premises, including The Lingdale Tavern, a café, and a barbershop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an efficient and safe maintenance service, ensuring properties remain compliant with all regulatory standards and health and safety requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF TEES VALLEY CARE LIMITED (CHILDREN’S HOMES & SUPPORTED LIVING):

  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections of all residential and supported living properties.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, HSE, and local authority health and safety regulations.
  • Plan and complete proactive and reactive maintenance and repair work, prioritising safety and safeguarding needs of vulnerable children and adults.
  • Keep records of inspections, repairs, and compliance certifications (e.g., fire alarms, emergency lighting, legionella checks).
  • Work closely with Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals to ensure maintenance supports high-quality care environments.
