Edinburgh Honey Co. is a family-run business with three generations of experience in traditional beekeeping. We specialize in raw honey, honey infusions, and beeswax products, committed to sustainable, zero-waste, and plastic-free practices. Our brand is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a hands-on, lead-by-example Head of Marketing and Sales to drive our expansion. With four new brands launching, this is a unique opportunity to shape and develop multiple brand identities from the ground up.
Role Overview
As Head of Marketing and Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy that enhances brand awareness, drives revenue growth, and strengthens customer loyalty. This is an on-site role, and we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, leading by doing rather than delegating. You will work closely with the founders and sales team to expand our presence both online and in retail markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a multi-channel marketing and sales strategy (digital, social media, PR, influencer marketing, retail partnerships).
- Be hands-on in all aspects of marketing and sales, from campaign execution to closing deals.
- Drive e-commerce growth through performance marketing, SEO, email campaigns, and customer retention strategies.
- Identify and secure new sales opportunities in both online and offline markets.
- Oversee and optimize social media marketing, content creation, and community engagement.
- Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Develop and manage partnerships with influencers, media, and strategic retail buyers.
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer data to optimize performance.
- Work closely with a small but growing team, mentoring and developing talent as the company scales.
- Lead PR and storytelling efforts to showcase our unique values and commitment to sustainability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with B2B and B2C customers.
- Be actively involved in the hands-on execution of marketing and sales initiatives—this is not a desk-bound role.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in food, beverage, or lifestyle brands.
- Proven experience in scaling e-commerce brands and increasing digital and retail sales.
- Strong expertise in paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, content strategy, and sales techniques.
- Ability to build and execute a marketing and sales budget with a strong focus on ROI.
- Experience in managing and growing a marketing and sales team.
- Passion for sustainability, ethical consumerism, and artisanal products.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales and build relationships.
- Experience working with platforms like Zoho One, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or similar CRM tools.
- A proactive, hands-on leader who is ready to roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
