Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POST

Manage the Marketing Team to ensure that all aspects of the College’s Marketing strategy, business plan and tactical strategies are delivered.

MAIN DUTIES

  1. Deputise for the Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment as appropriate
  2. Represent the team and wider college internally and externally
  3. Line manage and develop the team, including the Schools Liaison Officer, Student Recruitment Coordinator, and Digital Marketing Officer, ensuring their continued professional development and the successful delivery of team objectives.
  4. Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns aligned with the college’s strategic objectives, covering digital, print, events, and other relevant channels.
  5. Manage the college’s digital marketing activities, including overseeing digital advertising campaigns, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), website content strategy and management, and the effective utilisation of the College’s CRM system for marketing and recruitment purposes.
  6. Coordinate and manage relationships with external agencies and partners to support brand development, campaign execution, and other marketing initiatives.
  7. Contribute to the development of the College’s brand strategy and ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and platforms.
  8. Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and activities, using data and insights to inform future planning and optimise return on investment.
  9. Manage allocated marketing budgets effectively and ensure activities are delivered within agreed financial parameters.
  10. Oversee marketing assets, including image library, merchandising, and exhibition equipment, ensuring they are fit for purpose and used effectively.
  11. Stay abreast of marketing trends and best practices, particularly within the education sector, and identify opportunities for innovation.
  12. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including curriculum teams, admissions, and student services, to ensure marketing activities effectively support college-wide goals.
  13. Contribute to the College’s student recruitment strategies and support the achievement of recruitment targets.
  14. Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment or the College leadership.

  8. To provide cover or support for other members of your team and undertake any other duties required by your line manager appropriate to your position within the organisation. This includes attending other Barnet and Southgate College campuses if required.
