About the Role: The Head of Marketing, Elsevier Health Japan (HOM) is responsible for growing the team of marketing professionals, leading and driving them to develop and implement the annual marketing plan directly contributing to the achievement of revenue growth targets. This role will identify, plan, develop and implement marketing projects and initiatives to align with strategic business priorities and work directly with Sales, Commercial, Product and the Customer Success team to support their efforts to achieve revenue growth targets. This role is also responsible for the translation of market, customer and competitive intelligence into actionable, measurable marketing plans across the mix that aim to drive revenue, deliver agreed return on investment and provide metrics of such performance. A key requirement for the HOM is to demonstrate capability in change management, situational leadership capability and transferring vision. It is also essential that the HOM demonstrate skills in building effective teams, developing strong peer relationships in a highly matrixed global organization, and leads from the front with regard to high integrity and trust. Responsibilities Providing Ongoing support and development of the marketing teams in Japan with effective team building and solid organizing and planning. Developing effective marketing strategies to support the channel partners as well as the direct sales team. Managing agencies and third part vendors/partners in the development of marketing collateral and materials to provide an integrated approach to promotion. Having responsibility for the commercial outcome of B to C sales in Japan for Health Business and managing marketing initiatives and activities that drive new individual subscriptions and renewals, as well as the subscription operation, alongside other transactional e-commerce sales (such as books) Collaborate with Product Management to oversee development of go-to-market plans for new or enhanced solutions. Understand product roadmaps including technology plans and enhancements Partner with Sales teams; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by delivering appropriate tools, materials and presentations including driving opportunity management, lead scoring and lead nurturing programs to help cement higher sales conversion rates Overseeing the development and implementation of the annual segment marketing plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy Managing Japan marketing budget, setting the spend priorities, and measuring overall results against plans Requirements Have 6+ years marketing, business development, strategic marketing and/or management consulting Display 3+ years leadership and people management experience Having Fluency in Japanese and business level of English Have a demonstrated ability of building high performing teams, a strong change management background and flexing skills A clear track record of delivering successful campaigns with experience in the use of AI in marketing will be an advantage ·Having industry knowledge in medical, health, pharma desired Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
