KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in hospitality, co-working, wellness or lifestyle brands
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies, ideally incorporating experience launching new products, services and brands to market
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading diverse teams
  • Deep understanding of brand development, digital marketing, and content strategy
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance tracking and reporting
  • Ability to stay abreast of digital trends
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and CRM systems

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Marketing is responsible for leading and executing the overall marketing strategy for The Commons. This role oversees brand development, digital marketing, content strategy, social media, and campaign execution to enhance brand presence and drive business growth. The Head of Marketing will work closely with leadership to align marketing initiatives with company objectives, ensuring consistent brand messaging and innovation in all marketing efforts.
This position is a leadership role requiring strategic thinking, executional excellence, strong people management skills and a passion for brand storytelling. The Head of Marketing will play a crucial role in shaping The Commons’ brand and driving its next phase of growth.

MAIN DUTIES

Marketing Strategy – Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with The Commons’ business goals and values. Utilise market trends, competitor insights, and customer data to inform strategic decisions.
Brand Management & Positioning – Oversee brand identity in collaboration with the design team, ensuring a consistent tone and messaging across all platforms. Elevate The Commons’ brand awareness and reinforce its position in the market.
Multichannel Campaigns – Plan and execute omni-channel marketing campaigns to drive engagement and member growth. Work with the Marketing Manager to develop marketing plans for new locations, product launches, and key events.
Digital Marketing & Social Media – Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, PPC, website management, and social media strategy. Set KPIs and measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns. Guide the Social Media Coordinator in developing engaging, high-quality content.
Market Research & Consumer Insights – Leverage market analysis and data driven insights to shape marketing strategies and improve customer engagement. Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to stay ahead of market demands.
Team Leadership – Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and support professional development. Address performance gaps through coaching, development plans, and accountability measures.
Budget & ROI Management – Oversee and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximise ROI. Monitor and evaluate spending across marketing initiatives, making data driven adjustments to optimise performance. Present regular budget performance reports to senior leadership.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with senior leadership, sales, and operations teams to align marketing initiatives with business priorities. Build relationships with external partners, agencies, and media to enhance brand visibility and drive strategic growth.
