Responsibilities

Reporting to the Online Director and based onsite at the corporate office in Homebush West, you will lead the strategy and execution of a new marketplace. This includes driving its creation, launch, and long-term growth, leading strategic planning, defining the marketplace vision, making key design and operational decisions, and ensuring seamless stakeholder engagement.
You will be responsible for developing a strategic plan for Marketplace which includes vendor recruitment and onboarding, establishing workflows and policies, and designing an exceptional end-to-end customer experience. Additionally, you will build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities include;

  • Establish frameworks, policies, and best practices for vendor operations, customer interactions, and compliance legal and industry standards.
  • Work with leadership to set ambitious KPIs for sales, vendor performance, customer satisfaction and platform growth.
  • Actively contribute to strategies and initiatives to exceed KPIs, continuously analysing data to identify and implement improvements.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce KPIs for the Marketplace team and sellers, covering sales, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly report performance to senior management and use data insights to inform strategies that improve marketplace performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Define operational processes for vendor onboarding, product listing management, and issue resolution.
  • Optimise and manage multiple systems and relationships to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
  • Maximise product visibility and sales by utilising marketplace advertising tools effectively.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team by recruiting, onboarding, and providing continuous training to foster professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and open communication while defining roles, success metrics, and providing the necessary resources and support for high performance.
  • Optimising SEO and SEM to grow Marketplace
  • Responsible for managing the P&L.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly and yearly business reviews and review the business plan on a annual basis.
